In the video the teacher starts teaching of literature with asking questions based on two books. He said about the title of the books than he also asked about the meaning of the title. At the end of the video he provides most important instruction that one should not have to read the whole book of any literary work . he tells that we have to know about front page of it, meaning of the title of the book, than some important parts from the book not the whole book, and he also added that one should also look at the back side of the book which also provides some information about it and also provides the name of the publication. This are the issues related to teaching of literature come into the video.

First of all in this video we can see that how literature is important and also how literature can teach the learners literature. According to this video we noticed some important point, ideas and thoughts. This video shows some special place of literature in language world. Also we gradually found that how to teach the literature to second language learner and first language learners as well as literature is very important in first language classroom.
Secondly, in this video, in classroom teacher asked students that which book in his hand? And then teacher himself tells students to background of book and gives knowledge of the book. And lastly teacher also give information about how important literature in English as first language. Teacher also gives wonderful techniques in this video.

This is a beautiful video that helps us to understand that how to taech literature in classrooms.The teacher first of all asks some questions relayed with the first story "To Kill a Mocking Bird" and students gives the answers.And then he turns on to the second story "Of Mice and Men", and again he asks the question and says that the titile of the book was first introduced as "Of Mouse and Men" and he asks that why then the title was changed later on and student gives the answer.And at the end he concludes saying that it is not that important to read the complete story but it is important to understand the story by looking on to the cover page and raed something about the writer on the back page and also the name of publisher.And through this video we can understand that the classroom was lively and every students participated actively in the discussion . So to learn the literature we should first understand it and then explain it in our own words.A very wonderful video.

ReplyDeleteAS we noticed that this video about how one can teach literature effectively in the classroom.
There are lots of small or other lessons which one could understand from the story. One gets lesson from the incidents of their life. And it can be understood by reading the entire book only, not only by few pages. What Raggis is teaching in this video, it might work for the literature experts, but for the normal students it might not work in the same way. Because to understand literature properly in excect way, its not a cup of tea.

ReplyDeleteIn this video Reggie watts teach “literature”. Teacher start teaching about literature with asking the questions of assignment based on two books. He talks about the assignment which is given by him last week and asking the questions about the marking bird. He give an example live and died. The second book is mice and men. He asking some questions about meaning of mice and men. He tells that judge the book from it’s front page, Refer some sentence which are in the book and it’s back side detail and most important that learning to published it. Do not read the whole book only judge from most important part of book.

In these videos I found that teacher simplified each and every thing. He makes us learn litearture by using models like dog, with the help of their model they makes us learn life and death.They simplify the concept of the literature very clearly.The class were very interactive each and every student partiipate actively. we would see that the class become active , no student sits passively. In these videos we found that the teacher tries to do something new from monotonous and traditional class.They applies different techniques for the development of learner.

ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful video of teach literature by Reggie Watts. First of all the teacher show the history book of the students. The book name is,’’To Kill a Making Bird”. After that the teacher discuss about the title of this book and after ask the question of the students, the students gives answers of the questions. The teacher also gives example of,”Life and Died”. After the teacher show the other book of literature. The book name is ‘’Mice and Men”. The teacher ask the question of the students, say something about the title of this book? The students give answers of the question. In this video, the teacher gives techniques of teach literature and judge the book. The teacher says that see the first-front page of the book, some pages and also something read about the writer on the back page. So, you are easily judge any (history) book. Do not necessary to read a whole but understand the main idea of the book is very important.

ReplyDeleteIn this funny video we can see how a teacher teaches literature in classroom. He starts with questioning about particular book. He gives summary of that text’s opening scene. He uses dog’s realia for demonstrating life and death. He also asks students about their understanding. He gives explanation about title of second book and asks students that what is their opinion why the title should be changed? He tries to explain that students have not to worry about the book. Because they should know about the title, couple of chapters or pages, should read the last cover page and the name of the publisher. According to him it is enough for them. He doesn’t try to encourage the students even for reading a text. Infect I’m confused about that can we teach literature in this way?
